Tulip Festival

We got up early on Sunday morning and decided to head up to visit the Tulips before church. Shane had no meetings, so we thought it would be the perfect time to enjoy the weather and some family time. It was a quick, but beautiful trip. We loved seeing the Tulips, and enjoyed a nice picnic lunch on the grass. It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning.

PS...This is a great view of Henry's boots.  I can't believe the love this kid has for these boots, they are his favorite thing to wear in the entire world.  He wears them around the house and around the neighborhood.  He often wears them for his naps.  I noticed this week that they are starting to crack a little on the back, so I believe their days are numbered.  He will be devastated.  I am now actively looking for some new ones.  We scored these for $5 at a consignment shop, so I'm hoping to find an awesome deal on his next pair.

Easter 2012

We enjoyed a beautiful Easter together this year. It was a beautiful sunny day, and after a lazy morning and big breakfast and our own little egg hunt, we went to church and then headed out to the Folkmans for Easter dinner and an egg hunt put on by Grandma & Grandpa. The kids had so much fun and we loved sitting outside laughing, relaxing and spending time with everyone. It was such a fun day. Grandma & Grandpa made Schnitzel, and it was so good. We'll have to try it at home.

Saturday our festivities began with an egg hunt at the church in the morning, and dyeing eggs with Grandma Reckling and Uncle Michael along with some homemade Garlic Chicken pizza. It was a great weekend start to our spring break.
