My super deal...

Living Scriptures New: over $2,000 for all the sets. Something we can't really afford right now. But, check out the bargain I picked up at the DI last week. 5 brand new videos, with the corresponding coloring books, never been used! Only $2.50 per movie. What a deal. :) I'll be checking back often to look for more.

Good thing we didn't throw away our VCR last year, like I thought we should. We watched one for FHE last night, and this morning, Emma wanted to watch it again! I turned on Disney to Handy Manny, and she said, "No Mom...the one about Nephi". What a steal. :)

(Not the real picture, got this one from ebay.)

How cute it this?

I want to make it for Emma, I'm sure I have enough extra fabric laying around. Isn't it awesome! My mom made us a table tent kind of like this when we were little. Loved it. I think it's so cute! :) Found it here.

More Etsy...

I updated my etsy shop with some new items. I decided to add some jewelry for fun! I got the idea from LittleLovelies (Check out her shop...very cute!). I had ordered some hair pins, and then fell in love! I then started making my own, and I'm now going to sell them here at the farmers market in Issaquah here in the coming weeks.

I got a little sick of making tutus, and guess I'll try this for a while. It's a fun creative outlet--and gives me an excuse to watch TV because I'm "working" while I watch. :) See my shop link to the right! :) And here...IssyMissy.

I still do tutus, bows and baby hats, too.

Camping at Mora...

Our yearly camping trip was so much fun! Instead of me reading the Twilight books this year, I finally convinced Shane to try them, and he did. Couldn't put them down. Something about reading the books in La Push and Forks that makes it just that much more fun. Weather was great, and we explored some new beaches.

My camera was not charged, so I had to take all our pictures on my phone. Not so great. But overall, the trip was great, we loved it and were so thrilled that Jake & AJ, and Luke and Lindsay were able to come play with us for a while. There's something to be said about camping and being out of touch with the whole world for a few days. No cell phones (except for camera--no service), no computers just lots of family time. Emma learned how to play "go fish" which was fun. She calls it "going fishing", and then she made up a few new card games called "go Tahoe", and "go hats".

Happy 4th!

I love Issaquah's little downtown 4th of July celebration. It reminds me of Kaysville. We started the morning with the flag raising celebration at the church. Attorney General Rob McKenna came and spoke, and it was a beautiful way to start the day. Great speakers and great music, and of course, great food. Lot's of cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk.

Later we went to the downtown festivities. There's a little kids parade, then free pony rides, face painting, bouncy-toys, and of course the park. It's nice we live so close that we can just walk and not have to worry about parking.

In the afternoon, we went to Pete's (Shane's friend from work) house for a Hawaiian barbecue, and it was delicious! I had oysters for the first time, which were not so delicious, but the rest was oh-no! :)

Finally, we ended the evening out at the Self's in our ward, for non-stop fireworks and partying. It's a little dangerous every year, but it is fun. :) Here's a video of Shane and I with our friend Michael Hansen. You get the feeling of the fifty people all blowing off their own fireworks, and the neighbors in the background doing the same. Definitely fun.

Kayak Point

We had a great time with the Folkmans up at Kayak Point this year. We went up the last part of June, and loved it. Everyone was able to come up, even if only for a little while and it was great to spend time with all the fam.

I took lots of pictures and here a few to glance at. :)

Emma in her zebra tent.

Carly and Ryan came up for a while to hang out. It was fun to see them.

Jake and Emma have turned into best buds. Jake, you're going to make a great dad someday. It's so cute to see how you interact with Emma.

We had a blast flying kites. I haven't flown a kite for like 10 years.

family photo on the beach.
Emma even got a turn.

At the park...it has a very cool playground, but two of the toys were totally broken.

It was beautiful. More than that, just so nice to spend time relaxing and being with family.

My first coupon outing...

I combined sales and in-store coupons, and manufacturer coupons, and these were my savings...

Safeway: 41%
QFC: 55%
Walgreens: 51%
Albertsons: 46%

All stuff we would normally buy. I'm still trying to decide if driving from store to store was worth it, but I was surprised at how well we did! :) Go coupons!
