Sunday

Today was one of those days that justify the months and months of living in the dark rain of the Seattle area. Today was BEAUTIFUL! Blue skies, flowers blooming, green everywhere. It was amazing. So we decided to go to the temple to take some pictures.

A few years ago, a cousin of mine said that she takes pictures of her kids in front of the temple to put up in their room as a constant reminder of how special it is, so we decided to do the same. We are excited to get some shots of Emma & Henry. They share a room now, so we needed a new picture of both of them in front of the temple.

Preschool Picture Day

Emma loves her preschool and her teacher, Teacher Sue. We just found out this week she got accepted as a peer model in one of the special education preschools in the district, so next year she'll be going somewhere new (but its free--can't beat that!) She'll miss all her cute friends. :)

More to come...

Our friend Mark took some pictures of Henry tonight, here's a sneak peak. :)

Lately...

Here are a few pictures from life lately. We spend this afternoon up at Rattlesnake Lake throwing rocks in the water. Emma had her 1st visit to the dentist (& no cavities). She also got her 1st glasses (just for reading says the eye doctor). Henry is starting to smile more and more, however its impossible to catch on camera. Overall, life is just fun and with lots of good times with 2 kids.

Oh Emma...

a fun conversation I had tonight:

(Henry was falling asleep, but crying in his crib off and on--and Emma kept calling me to come and get him)

Me: "Emma, Henry might cry a little as he falls asleep. Just ignore him."

Emma: "What does ignore mean?"

Me: "It means, just don't listen."

Emma: "But I have ears Mom, I have to listen."

Sleep...

Finally getting some sleep around here. Last week, Shane and I were mean, and spent one afternoon/evening doing everything we could to keep Henry awake. It paid off, and while I feel bad, it was totally worth it. These are some things we did...

  • multiple baths
  • little or no clothes
  • binky pulled in and out non-stop
  • Ice down shirt (Shane did this! it worked...)
  • Bouncing non-stop
  • Laying on the cold floor
Once he got kicked over to that sleeping at night schedule, it has been totally worth it! YAHOO! Mean parents, but TOTALLY worth it!

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We loved conference--Emma asked me this morning if we could watch Conference today, and was sad when I told her it was over. (Not like she listens...but I think she enjoys drawing pictures while snuggling on the couch with us). We had an Easter Egg hunt at the Folkmans with Zoey and the family. I just HAD to buy Easter outfits, even though we didn't go to church. Henry wore his first tie, and looked so big.

We had lots of good talks about resurrection with Emma. It was a wonderful holiday. :) We only wish more family could have been closer.

Mr. Handsome

One month old, and still not sleeping at night. His current favorite awake time is 2:00- 5:30. When will it end?!?
