Silverwood Theme Park

As part of our Graduation weekend celebration, we spent Mother's Day at Silverwood near Coeur D'Alene, ID. Even though the forecast was rain, we got a fairly beautiful day out of the visit. We all got a little rosy in the cheeks. We spent the day walking, playing and laughing. Since I'm expecting, I only rode on the carousel, antique cars and on the train...all other rides were off limits. Shane and Emma tried a bunch more, but Emma was the real trooper, trying every kid ride that existed.

Much of the ambiance of the park was "Old West"... it reminded me so much of my summers in Utah going to Lagoon with my friends. Lots of good memories.

Emma was even brave and did the corkscrew roller coaster...but was very wary of any big roller coasters after that. She did great. Henry was happy to wander around on the grass between naps in his stroller. We ended the day with a train ride around the park, and it was just beginning to rain, so we headed out, lucky that we got so much good weather in.
