Tulips 2011

What an adventure we had on Saturday. We drove up for our annual Tulip trip to Mt. Vernon last Saturday. This year, we met some friends, the Gregorys, up there for lunch and then visited the flowers together. It was so fun for Emma to have other kids to play with. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, and we all left with rosy cheeks. It felt so good to be out in the sun.

It also felt a little surreal. It seems like we were just there last year, with Henry in the baby pouch, and only a few weeks old. I can't believe how quickly a year has passed, and now he is running around and saying as many words as he can, so mesmerized by the flowers. Crazy, but wonderful. And now we have another one coming, what will life be like next year!?!

Here are some pictures of our beautiful day!

A little pre-tween attitude.

The grass field was the highlight of the day for everyone.

Shane called this the "liberty tree"

My sweet happy boy!

I love his excited face on this one, his little raised eyebrows make me smile. :)

Happy in the stroller and the shade.
