Last weekend, my parents borrowed the suburban and the trailer to move Zach's stuff home from Bellingham. About an 1 1/2 hours away, smoke started to stream out of the suburban, they pulled over and waited at a rest stop, until we could come get them, and then we had to have it towed back to Bellevue.
Anyway, we are waiting for the final word, but unless it's a cheap fix, then we are going to say goodbye to that sweet old 'burb, and say hello to something new. I can't lie, I'm very excited at the prospect of a new car...more to come. :)
Here it is 3 years ago this summer, I was pregnant with Emma and we went camping on the coast. Lots of good memories. (PS, Shane is the only person I know that takes pictures of vehicles, like they were his children--Luckily, it's well photographed.)

I heard the sad news about the Burb . . . it was my trusty companion many days when my Blazer was in the shop. It certainly has been a wonderful family vehicle! Tons of memories even without all the bells and whistles and luxury of 4/60 air conditioning and no power anything. But it really was like the Energizer Bunny and kept going and going and going . . . but at 200,000 + miles I guess he has done a good run! I hope you guys get a fun replacement! That is exciting! Love, Jen :)
I am excited for you to get a new car. Hopefully the next one will last 20 years too!
Carrie, you can add me to the list of people who take pictures of their cars. They are family too! It is always a little sad when they pass on... We have a whole photo album of past cars and various other "important" car show photos. Erin is very tolerant...
I saw the link to your blog on Jen's and thought I would check it out. Looks like you guys are doing well.
Hola from San Diego :)
